I am the wife of a supportive husband and father, and I am a stay-at-home mom to three wonderful boys ranging from 15 to 7 years old. My oldest has Asperger’s Syndrome, and my journey with him through his challenges and triumphs has shaped my life and much of our lives as a family. After learning more about Asperger’s Syndrome and how it often presents differently in females, I have reached the conclusion that I, too, have Asperger’s Syndrome. To me this is not a negative – just a better explanation of who I am and how I relate to the world.

I love reading moms of older kids’ stories! So inspiring. Can’t wait to read more of your stories.
Hi, Brenda.
Thanks so much for stopping by to leave such a nice comment. Gave me a big smile to have a friendly new visitor. I just stopped by to check out your blog, which I think is great, BTW. I left a comment there and added you to my blogroll. Looking forward to reading more from you, too.
Hello I came to visit your blog after you left your comment on mine!
I will be back to read more very soon.
Nice to see you here. Thanks. 🙂
Hello Diane…I’ve just tagged you in a meme, don’t be angry it’s a really nice one.
Here is the link… http://alienhippy.wordpress.com/2011/03/31/this-is-me-meme/
Love and hugs. Lisa. xx 🙂
Never mad at you, and certainly not for something so sweet. Not sure how soon I can get my kids to cooperate, though. Theodore is pretty easy – he likes making pictures.
Diane-I haven’t seen you around. I hope that all is well and that you have just been busy. Just checking in..:)
Hi, Kathleen.
Thanks for getting in touch. I have what amounts to a new part-time job now, and it’s all I can do to find time to read a few blogs and make the occasional comment at this point. It just seems to take me a longer time to read and write than what I can manage at this point – I process fairly slowly. I had been planning to write at least a “here’s why I’m not writing” post for the past couple weeks and haven’t even gotten to that. Our business has just made a change from a service provider that was causing lots of extra hassles, so I’m hoping the nice new people we’ve brought on board will help to free up some more time. Then there’s the question of how much of that will go to my needy children … I suppose you know how that goes. 🙂
